Whether you use the BuzzVoice iPhone app, or our full site to listen to your news & blogs, chances are likely that you are a fan of other streaming audio applications. Therefore, it’s likely that you may be one of the 38 million people using the popular Pandora Radio service on your smartphone , or your computer.
If this is the case, you might be excited to hear that Pandora might be a built-in option on your next car.
Last night, while listening to GigaOM on BuzzVoice, I heard a story titled, “Pandora is Coming to Your Car.” (Coincidentally, I was streaming BuzzVoice in my car when I heard it). The story outlines how, like BuzzVoice, many Pandora users are using the service in their cars, by plugging their smartphones into their car stereos, and how Pandora plans to integrate it’s service directly into cars to improve the overall user experience.
Be sure to check out the full story on GigaOM to learn about Pandora’s strategy to first integrate their smartphone apps into dash controls, and then to ditch the smartphone and embed the service right into Internet-connected cars.
It’s interesting to see how services that started out as “applications” are expanding their distribution strategies to reach consumers through other channels.
Who knows, perhaps some day you’ll be able to get “BuzzVoice embedded into your Beamer?”
