We love hearing how people are using our magical talking news service to keep up with their favorite news and blogs on the go. We recently asked some of our power users to share how they use BuzzVoice, and the benefits they’re seeing.
In this post, BuzzVoice user Chris Weber shares how he uses it on his smartphone just about every day. So, listen up – You might just pick up some time saving tips. And, stay tuned for tips from other BuzzVoice users.
BuzzVoice User Chris Weber: Programmer
“It’s a great app for the car. I use BuzzVoice nearly every day. I load up new stories in the garage, hit the play button, then start my commute.
Before BuzzVoice, I probably wasted about 15 minutes at the start, and the end of my work day, tuning into the news and catching up with things.
Now, I utilize the time I’m already wasting during my commute to do that.”
How are you using BuzzVoice in the wild?
We would love to hear how other BuzzVoice users use the service in the comments below, or via email at Feedback@BuzzVoice.com. If we use your story, we’ll upgrade you to BuzzVoice PRO for free for 30 days.
We know you’re busy – You’ve got big holiday travel plans, and it’s hard to keep up with your favorite news and blogs on the go. You could be like some people and try to read TechCrunch, Mashable, TUAW, or Phandroid on your iPhone or Android device while you’re speeding down route 66 to grandma’s house… But you’re smarter than that, right?
Now, you can multitask and LISTEN to breaking updates from your favorite sources on your iPhone, iPad or Android device - the safe, easy and fun way. That’s right, BuzzVoice pulls the stories you love off the web in real-time – and reads them aloud to you.
Now, you can get BuzzVoice right now for HALF PRICE – Just $1.99
Yes, for the price of a cup of coffee, you can get BuzzVoice and stream audio versions of the Web’s Top 1,600 sources… and arrive safe and up to speed on your favorite topics. It’s also great for the gym, the beach, or the hammock!
If you’re old enough to remember the launch of MTV in the eighties then you know Adam Curry. (If you don’t know him from Adam, let us Google that for you).
Curry was one of MTV’s pioneering “Video Jockeys,” who rose to fame as the music video craze first swept the nation. For some, worldwide stardom in one industry would be enough. Not for Curry. He went onto become one of the “founding fathers” of podcasting, raised a war chest of venture capital and started a number of Web companies.
Not one to sit on the sidelines for the current mega-trend, Curry’s latest creation is “The Big App Show,” a web-only video show where he hand-picks the best smartphone apps to help consumers find “the diamonds” in a sea of hundreds of thousands of apps.
To our surprise, Curry recently reviewed BuzzVoice and gave us a big thumbs up.
App stores seem to be popping up everywhere. In addition to the “traditional” app stores, wireless carriers and third parties are opening app stores too.
GetJar has its independent appstore, AT&T has a recommended apps section on its smartphones, and Verizon has it’s V CAST Appstore (which features a Verizon-branded version of BuzzVoice “on the deck” – thank you Verizon).
Today, Amazon brought the new Amazon Appstore live, and we’re excited to say that BuzzVoice is one of the first apps in the store. The store, which features just over 3,800 Android apps is now available in 2 flavors: you can access the store on your computer at Amazon.com, or, you can access it on your Android device.
