BuzzVoice User Chris Weber: Programmer

“It’s a great app for the car. I use BuzzVoice nearly every day. I load up new stories in the garage, hit the play button, then start my commute.

Before BuzzVoice, I probably wasted about 15 minutes at the start,  and the end of my work day, tuning into the news and catching up with things.

Now, I utilize the time I’m already wasting during my commute to do that.”

How are you using BuzzVoice in the wild?

We would love to hear how other BuzzVoice users use the service in the comments below, or via email at Feedback@BuzzVoice.com. If we use your story, we’ll upgrade you to BuzzVoice PRO for free for 30 days.

Adam Curry Reviews BuzzVoice: “They’re Onto Something For Sure”

Adam Curry Reviews BuzzVoiceIf you’re old enough to remember the launch of MTV in the eighties then you know Adam Curry. (If you don’t know him from Adam, let us Google that for you).

Curry was one of MTV’s pioneering “Video Jockeys,” who rose to fame as the music video craze first swept the nation. For some, worldwide stardom in one industry would be enough. Not for Curry. He went onto  become one of the “founding fathers” of podcasting, raised a war chest of venture capital and started a number of Web companies.

Not one to sit on the sidelines for the current mega-trend, Curry’s latest creation is “The Big App Show,” a web-only video show where he hand-picks the best smartphone apps to help consumers find “the diamonds” in a sea of hundreds of thousands of apps.

To our surprise, Curry recently reviewed BuzzVoice and gave us a big thumbs up.

Check out the video below and tell us what you think. You can find the latest version of BuzzVoice on The App Store or The Android Market.

BuzzVoice Launches White Label Smartphone Solution for Publishers & Carriers, Partners with Cincinnati Bell

New Service Gives Publishers a New Way to Reach Mobile News Consumers While Increasing Engagement and Revenue

BuzzVoice, the popular smartphone-based news service that pulls stories off the Internet based on consumer preferences and reads them aloud, today announced its new white label smartphone app solution for publishers and wireless carriers.Cincinnati Bell Talking News Powered by BuzzVoice

The original BuzzVoice service, which has been likened to “Pandora for news,” is receiving applause from critics for giving busy consumers a faster, safer way to keep up with their favorite topics on the go. To date, users have streamed millions of stories from the web’s top sources in cars, trains, gyms and other places where reading would be a poor or dangerous user experience.

Now, BuzzVoice is giving publishers and carriers an easy way to launch their own branded iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android apps in days with BuzzVoice’s acclaimed “mobile, social and vocal” functionality. The new white label smartphone app offering allows partners to easily distribute personalized news to commuters, fitness fans and multitaskers in a magical new way that increases engagement while adding a new source of ad revenue.

Regional wireless carrier Cincinnati Bell is the first to partner with BuzzVoice and will be offering the new service on its Android devices shortly. BuzzVoice is also in talks with major media companies to roll out publisher branded versions of the talking news service in various US markets.

BuzzVoice CEO John Atkinson had this to say about the new offering, “Thanks to the smartphone revolution, 26% of Americans now read news on mobile devices. We’re excited to give our partners a turnkey smartphone solution that automatically optimizes their content for on the go news consumers.”
